Cooly Rocks On

If you haven’t already visited during the Cooly Rocks On festival, well then this year it is time to start! Experience the biggest 50’s and 60s nostalgia festival in Australia and then kick back for a relaxing cruise along the Tweed River.

We are lucky enough to live and work in one of the best places in the world! The Southern Gold Coast is known for its sandy white beaches, laid-back lifestyle and world class events such as the Quiksilver Pro and the Cooly Rocks On Festival.

This year, Cooly Rocks On kicks off on Wednesday 7th June and runs through til Sunday 11th June. Classic cars will line the streets of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads along with plenty of rock’n events and market stalls to keep the whole family entertained.

We love backing local events and anything that gets new visitors to our local area. A lot of people aren’t aware that you are able to dock your houseboat at the Tweed Marina, which is only a 1km stroll into the heart of Coolangatta.

We would highly recommend using the houseboat as accommodation for the first part of your holiday and take in all the festival has to offer, once you are ready to set sail we’d be happy to take you out from the marina to continue your houseboat holiday cruising the river. You can even take advantage of our great winter packages! It really is a great way to get the best of both worlds!
